Air Fryer Plastic Injection Moulding refers to a manufacturing technology that produces core plastic components of air fryers (such as body shells, fry baskets, heat-insulating door panels, control panel brackets, and hot air guide covers) through plastic injection molding processes. Its core feature is realizing high-temperature-resistant structural molding of components, oil-stain-resistant and easy-to-clean design and safety protection functions according to the usage characteristics of air fryers, including high-temperature hot air circulation (working temperature 120-200℃), oil splashing, and frequent opening and closing. Compared with traditional metal components (heavy weight, easy to burn hands, high cost), plastic injection components reduce the overall weight of air fryers by 30%-40%. At the same time, they have the advantages of flexible design (capable of forming curved bodies and embedded fry baskets) and controllable cost (plastic components account for 65%-75%). They are widely used in home kitchens, small catering, dormitories and other scenarios, and are key manufacturing technologies for realizing lightweight, safe and household air fryers.

1 Core Characteristics of Air Fryer Plastic Injection Moulding

1.High Temperature Resistance and Heat Insulation Protection

When the air fryer is working, the high temperature inside is easily transmitted to the outside, and the plastic parts need to have excellent high temperature resistance and insulation performance:

High temperature resistant design of the body shell: High temperature resistant PPO/PS alloy or PA66+20% GF is selected, with long-term temperature resistance of 150-180 ℃ (hot deformation temperature ≥ 160 ℃) and short-term ability to withstand 200 ℃ high temperature impact. After 1000 high temperature cycle tests (120-200 ℃), the impact strength retention rate is ≥ 80%, without deformation or cracking;

Thermal insulation structure of insulated door panel: Adopting double-layer injection molding process (inner layer PC+outer layer PPO/PS alloy), with a 1-2mm air insulation layer reserved in the middle, the insulation performance is improved by 50% (outer surface temperature ≤ 50 ℃, far lower than the 70 ℃+of metal doors), avoiding users from touching and burning their hands; Injection molded silicone sealing ring on the edge of the door panel to seal against hot air leakage;

Anti scalding design of frying basket handle: The handle and frying basket body are injection molded separately (the handle is made of PPO/PS alloy, and the body is made of PA66+30% GF), connected by a buckle. The thermal conductivity of the handle is ≤ 0.2W/(m · K), and the temperature of the handle during operation is ≤ 45 ℃. It can be operated directly by hand.

2. Oil-Stain Resistance and Easy Cleaning

Air fryers are prone to oil splatter during use, and plastic parts need to have anti oil and convenient cleaning characteristics:

1. Product Design and Mold Development

(1) Product Design

Structural design: Draw a 3D model using CAD software, with a focus on designing the thickness distribution of the explosion basket wall, the double-layer structure of the heat-insulating door panel, and the layout of the heat dissipation holes on the body shell; Annotate key dimensional tolerances;

(2) Mold development

Mold material: H13 hot work mold steel (high temperature resistance, good wear resistance, service life ≥ 500000 times) is selected for the explosion basket and hot air guide cover molds; The body shell and heat-insulating door panel molds are made of NAK80 pre hardened steel;

Mold cavity design: Single cavity or double cavity molds are used, and the surface of the mold cavity is pre treated with anti sticking coating to ensure that the parts are easy to demold after molding;
