3. Mold processing: Manufacturing the basic framework of the mold
The mold base is the "skeleton" of the mold, consisting of fixed mold seat plate, movable mold seat plate, guide column, guide sleeve and other components. Its main function is to support the mold cavity and ensure accurate opening and closing of the mold. During processing, the steel is first roughly machined using a milling machine to mill out the approximate shape of the mold base and installation groove; Then, precision machining is carried out using a grinder to control the flatness and parallelism errors of the mold blank within 0.01mm; Finally, assembly holes such as guide column holes and screw holes are machined using a drilling machine, and rust removal treatment (such as sandblasting and phosphating) is performed on the surface of the mold base to prepare for subsequent cavity processing.
