After the mold development is completed, injection molding customization can realize rapid mass production, and the unit cost gradually decreases with the increase of output. The service life of the mold can reach 100,000-1,000,000 times (depending on the mold steel material and usage frequency). If there are additional orders later, the mold can be directly reused, further reducing long-term production costs.

3. Strong Structural Integrity and Stability

1. Demand Communication and Scheme Design

This stage is the foundation for the success of customized parts, and in-depth communication with customers is required: clarify the functional requirements of the parts (such as load-bearing, sealing, insulation), usage environment (such as temperature range, medium contact), dimensional accuracy (provide 2D/3D drawings or samples), appearance requirements (such as color, surface texture, logo identification) and output requirements (determine the number of mold cavities and materials). Based on the requirements, engineers draw 3D models of parts through CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, and use CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) software for structural simulation analysis (such as stress analysis, assembly interference check), optimize design details such as part wall thickness (avoid deformation caused by uneven wall thickness) and fillets (reduce stress concentration), form a preliminary customization plan, and enter the mold design stage after confirmation with customers.

2. Custom Mold Development

Mold design is carried out according to the 3D model of the part, and the core includes: cavity and core design (strictly according to the part size, reserving plastic shrinkage rate, such as 1.5%-2% for PP materials), gating system design (select gate type according to part structure, such as pin gate for parts with high appearance requirements, side gate for thick-walled parts), cooling system design (arrange cooling water channels evenly according to part thickness to ensure consistent cooling rate), ejection system design (select ejector pins, ejector sleeves and other components to avoid damaging parts during ejection). Mold materials are selected according to output: P20 pre-hardened steel (low cost, fast processing) can be used for small batches (≤10,000 pieces); H13 hot work mold steel (strong wear resistance, long service life) is used for large batches (≥100,000 pieces). Mold processing uses precision equipment (such as CNC milling, EDM, wire cutting) to ensure that the mold precision is consistent with the part design. After processing, mold trial and debugging are carried out to verify the feasibility of the mold.

3. Injection Production and Quality Inspection

After the mold debugging is qualified, it enters the injection production stage: set process parameters according to the material characteristics of the part, such as PC material injection temperature 260-300℃, injection pressure 80-120MPa, to ensure that the plastic melt is fully melted and filled evenly; real-time monitor parameters such as mold temperature and injection speed during production to avoid defects such as flash and material shortage. Quality inspection is carried out in multiple links: appearance inspection (check whether there are scratches, bubbles, color differences on the part surface through visual or machine vision); dimensional inspection (use a coordinate measuring machine to detect key dimensions to ensure compliance with tolerance requirements); performance inspection (such as tensile test, temperature resistance test to verify the mechanical properties and environmental adaptability of parts). Unqualified parts need to analyze the reasons (such as mold wear, process parameter deviation) and adjust, while qualified parts undergo subsequent processing (such as gate removal, polishing, surface coating).

4. Follow-up Services and Mold Maintenance

After delivering the customized parts, it is necessary to provide subsequent technical support: if the customer reports part assembly problems, assist in adjusting the assembly plan or optimizing the part structure; if additional orders are needed, quickly start the mold reuse and production process to shorten the delivery cycle. At the same time, provide customers with mold maintenance suggestions: regularly clean the mold cavity (avoid part defects caused by plastic residues), check the wear of guide pillars and bushes (replace in time to ensure precision), and perform anti-rust treatment on the mold (such as applying anti-rust oil) to extend the mold service life. If the customer has part upgrade needs in the future, modifications can be made based on the original mold (such as adjusting cavity size, adding structural details) to reduce secondary development costs.
