Phase 1: Needs Analysis and Concept Establishment

Phase 2: Design and Development
This is where the value of the ODM model is most concentrated and is a crucial optimization stage in the OEM model.
Industrial Design:
Content: Based on market demand and brand image, design the product's appearance, color scheme, and human-computer interaction.
Output: Product renderings and appearance models.
Lead Party: ODM manufacturer leads; in the OEM model, the customer provides the design.
Structural Design:
Content: Transforming the exterior design into a manufacturable 3D structural model. Designing snap-fit components, reinforcing ribs, mounting positions, etc.
Output: Detailed 3D drawings and 2D engineering drawings.
DFM (Design for Manufacturability Analysis):
Content: DFM is mandatory for both OEM and ODM projects. Engineers analyze drawings and propose modifications to wall thickness, draft angle, fillets, and ejection methods to optimize production, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Output: DFM report, confirmed by the customer.
Material Selection and Certification:

Third Stage: Mold Design and Manufacturing
Mold Design:
Mold Flow Analysis: Simulating plastic filling, cooling, and warpage using CAE software to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
Structural Design: Designing the mold base, cavity, cooling system, venting system, ejection system, and complex mechanisms such as sliders/angled ejectors.
Precision Machining and Assembly:
Mold cores and inserts are machined using CNC, EDM, and wire cutting equipment.
Surface treatments such as polishing and etching are performed.
Mold assembly and debugging are completed by senior fitters.
Fourth Stage: Trial Molding and Engineering Verification
Trial Molding:
The mold is debugged on the injection molding machine to produce the first batch of samples.
Process parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, time) are adjusted.
Sample Evaluation:
Dimensional Measurement: Full-dimensional inspection is performed using a coordinate measuring machine.
Appearance Inspection: Defects such as shrinkage, flash, and weld lines are checked.
Functional and Durability Testing: Assembly, drop, and lifespan tests are conducted.
Design Freeze and PPAP:
The customer confirms the samples, freezing the design.

Q5. Before shipment, how to make sure the products quality?
A: If you don't come to our factory and also don't have the third party for inspection, we will be as your inspection worker.
We will supply you a video for production process detail include process report, products size structure and surface detail, packing detail and so on.
Q6. What is your payment terms?
A: Mold Payment: 40% deposit by T/T in advance, 30% second mold payment before sending out the first trial samples, 30% mold balance after you agree the final samples.
B:Production Payment: 50% deposit in advance, 50% before sending out the final goods.
