Plastic Injection Clothes Peg Moulding refers to a household or commercial tool that produces core structures such as clip bodies and springs (some integrated clothes pegs have no independent springs) through the plastic injection molding process, and is used to fix fabrics when drying clothes. Its core feature is using the injection molding process to realize the integrated or split molding of the clip body. The clip body mostly uses high-toughness plastic, and cooperates with the elastic force of the spring to achieve stable clamping (clamping force 5-15N). Compared with traditional wooden clothes pegs (easy to get damp and moldy, easy to break) or metal clothes pegs (easy to rust, heavy), it has the advantages of moisture resistance, aging resistance, lightweight (single weight 5-15g) and low cost. 1. High Toughness and Durability

Material Toughness: The clip body usually uses PP or PE materials, with elongation at break ≥300%, and can withstand more than 500 times of 180 ° bending without breaking (far exceeding 50 times of wooden clothes pegs);  some high-end clothes pegs use TPR/PP composite materials, the hinge of the clip body has better elasticity, and no embrittlement after long-term use (stable performance in the temperature range of -20 ℃ to 60℃);

Aging Resistance: PP clothes pegs with 0.5%-1% anti-UV agent added, after 1000 hours of UV aging test, the impact strength retention rate is ≥80%, and the color fading degree is ≤level 2 (GB/T 16422.3 standard), the outdoor service life can reach 3-5 years, which is 2-3 times that of traditional wooden clothes pegs;

Structural Strength: The hinge of the clip body is designed with reinforcing ribs (thickness 0.5-1mm, width 1-2mm) to improve bending resistance;  the spring uses galvanized steel wire or stainless steel wire (diameter 0.5-0.8mm), the elastic fatigue life is ≥10,000 times, avoiding elastic attenuation after long-term use (elasticity retention rate ≥70%).

Clothes clips should be securely fastened to clothing under wind or slight pulling, while avoiding damage to the fabric

Anti slip design: The clamping surface of the clamping body adopts serrated texture (tooth height 0.3-0.5mm, tooth spacing 0.8-1mm) or silicone anti slip pad (Shore hardness 30-40 degrees), with a friction coefficient increased to 0.6-0.8 (only 0.3-0.4 without anti slip design), even when clamping lightweight fabrics (such as silk and chiffon), it is not easy to slip off;

Ergonomic structure: The clamp length is designed to be 70-100mm (suitable for palm grip size), and anti slip patterns (friction coefficient ≥ 0.7) are set at the opening and closing points to prevent slipping when operated with wet hands; Some styles are designed with curved clips (fitting the curve of the fingers), which distribute pressure evenly when held (unit area pressure ≤ 0.5kPa), improving comfort;

1. Product Design and Mold Development

(1) Product Design

Structural design: Draw a 3D model using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), with a focus on designing: the thickness of the clamp hinge (0.8-1.2mm, ensuring balance between elasticity and strength), the texture of the clamping surface (serrated or dotted, depth 0.3-0.5mm), and the spring installation groove (size adapted to the spring diameter, gap 0.1-0.2mm);

(2) Mold development

Mold material: The clamping body mold is made of P20 pre hardened steel (for small and medium batch production) or H13 hot work mold steel (for large-scale production, with a lifespan of ≥ 500000 times), and the surface of the mold cavity is polished to Ra ≤ 0.8 μ m (to avoid rough clamping body surface);

Mold cavity design: Multiple mold cavities (1 mold 16-32 cavities, symmetrical layout) are used to ensure uniform filling of each cavity (filling time difference ≤ 0.3 seconds); The mold for the split type clothes clip (left clip body, right clip body) needs to ensure consistency in the size of the left and right clip bodies (deviation ≤ 0.05mm) to avoid poor opening and closing after assembly;

Cooling system: Arrange cooling water channels according to the shape of the clamp (spacing 10-15mm, diameter 4-6mm), with a focus on cooling the clamp hinges and thickened areas (such as the clamp head, thickness 1.5-2mm). Control the cooling time within 8-12 seconds to avoid warping caused by uneven cooling (warping amount ≤ 0.1mm).

1. Household Daily Scenario

Core Requirements: Lightweight, anti-slip, adapting to multiple fabrics (cotton, linen, silk, chemical fiber), suitable for both indoor balconies and short-term outdoor drying.

Product Features:

Materials use ordinary PP or PP/PE blends (for cold northern regions), single weight 5-8g, easy to open and close, operable by the elderly and children;

The clamping surface adopts serrated texture (tooth height 0.3mm, tooth spacing 0.8mm), friction coefficient 0.6-0.7, preventing light fabrics (such as silk shirts) from slipping;

The material selected is PP/PE blend with 1% anti UV agent added. After 1000 hours of UV aging test, the impact strength retention rate is ≥ 85%, and the outdoor service life is 3-5 years;

The spring is made of 304 stainless steel wire (diameter 0.6mm), and there is no corrosion after 200 hours of salt spray testing. The elastic fatigue life is ≥ 12000 times, and the clamping force attenuation after long-term use is ≤ 20%;

Thickened to 1.2mm at the hinge of the clamp, combined with double reinforcement ribs (width 1.5mm, thickness 0.8mm), it can withstand 800 180 ° bends without breakage and has strong wind resistance (can withstand clothing pulling under wind force of level 5).

3.Garment Factory Commercial Scenario

Core requirements: high clamping force, high durability, convenient bulk storage, suitable for heavy fabrics (denim, down jackets, workwear) and high-strength use (opening and closing more than 50 times a day).

Product Features:

The material is made of high rigidity PP+10% fiberglass reinforcement, with a bending strength of ≥ 50MPa, capable of withstanding 12-15N clamping force, and fixing heavy denim fabric without looseness;

The clamping surface is covered with TPR anti slip pad (Shore hardness 35 degrees, thickness 0.5mm), which increases the friction coefficient to 0.8, while avoiding wear of the fixture metal button on the clamping body;

Design a stacked structure (with one side of the clamp protruding 5mm and one side recessed 5mm), which can stably stack 50-100 pieces per stack, saving factory storage space; Pack every 100 pieces into one box, labeled with usage parameters such as "load-bearing capacity of 1kg" and "temperature resistance -20 ℃ to 60 ℃".
